Sami Rusani / General Partner
With a decade of investing experience in blockchain technology and artificial intelligence, Sami possesses a deep understanding of the crypto markets. As a General Partner of two funds, Rusani Ventures and Beyond The Bounds VC, Sami has played a pivotal role in identifying, building portfolios, and establishing partnerships with high-profile entities. He has cultivated strong relationships with exchanges, market makers, other VCs, investors, and family offices globally, and is also an LP in several funds. Sami contributed to the launch of Sweden's first retail-traded blockchain fund, which garnered attention from major banks. Additionally, he serves as an expert crypto advisor to Dagens Industri, widely regarded as Sweden's most influential financial newspaper.
Krysh Patel-Parker / General Partner
Krysh provides experience from traditional finance, investing, and entrepreneurship. He began his career in an investment bank as a commodities markets analyst, then moved into futures options trading. He gained further experience at a long-only hedge fund and a private equity fund, investing in clean technology businesses and solar power projects. Following this, he joined a frontier markets merchant bank and later an Africa-focused growth equity fund, before joining a specialised products leveraged finance team. After executing over $1 billion in deals, he led the European expansion of a Hong Kong principal investor, founded a Web2 marketplace, before being seduced by the possibilities of Web3. He subsequently joined a crypto venture fund, leading investments and advising projects, now serving as non-executive director at TrueFi, a leading RWA tokenization platform. Krysh holds an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge and an MBA.
Dr Henry Staples / Research Associate
Henry is a global development researcher with over a decade of experience across academia and government. A firm believer in the power of research to achieve impact, Henry specialises in Global South contexts and has worked across Brazil, Colombia, South Africa and the UK, where he has employed rigorous, creative methodologies in collaboration with government, business and civil society organisations. Henry also brings a wealth of experience in project management and knowledge exchange. He holds a Land Economy degree from the University of Cambridge, a Research Masters from the University of Amsterdam, and a doctorate from the University of Sheffield.
Clayton Cruse / General Counsel
Clayton brings a unique blend of legal expertise and wealth preservation acumen to the team. As a Private Client Attorney and Wealth Strategist, he has guided clients in structuring and protecting financial assets, earning recognition on the Texas Super Lawyers list. Clayton specializes in asset protection, risk assessment and wealth strategy for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors, and is adept at identifying opportunities in complex, high-growth industries such as digital finance. Clayton holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
Weldon Turner / Advisor
Weldon is a seasoned financial, legal and renewable energy expert, serving as a board-member, COO and CCO at Gigawatt Global, a solar developer managing utility-scale projects in Africa and the U.S. With a background in International Equity Sales Trading at Credit Suisse and Salomon Brothers, Weldon was formerly CEO of a boutique international investment firm focusing on private placements within emerging markets, and also co-managed a market-neutral hedge fund. Weldon later transitioned into renewable energy, with significant investment experience for RCS Solar, a leading supplier of solar power. Weldon brings cross-sector governance expertise as an advisor to Thorium Power Company, Portofino Equity Advisors, and the Milken Innovation Center. Weldon holds degrees in Political Science, History, Law (JD, LLM), and is pursuing a doctorate in environmental law. He is a part-time lecturer at Bar-Ilan University.
Bill Cosgrove / Advisor
Bill is a seasoned insurance and risk management expert with over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Lockton Companies, he specializes in crafting innovative solutions for industries such as Financial Services, Technology, and Manufacturing. His expertise spans Directors & Officers, Professional Liability, Cybersecurity, and Transactional Risk Insurance. Bill has held leadership roles at Willis, ACE (now Chubb) and Marsh, consistently delivering tailored risk management strategies to a diverse client base.
Romain Rechtman / Advisor
Romain has spent over 15 years as an equity derivatives sales around the globe, starting at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong before moving to JP Morgan in New York, then HSBC in London. After his career on the trading floor, Romain became an investor in private deals and co-founded his own fintech platform. From there he made the switch into crypto, teaming up with ex colleagues to bring some of the traditional investment products into the digital asset world. Romain graduated from a Master’s Degree in Finance from Dauphine University in Paris.
Matthew Ainscow / Advisor
Founder at Me3 Labs with deep expertise at the intersection of blockchain and capital markets and holder of AI patents. He previously co-founded an AI biometrics wallet and has led successful exits in both TradFi and Fintech. Mathew brings extensive experience in venture investing, tokenomics, and go-to-market strategy, along with a track record of managing proprietary strategies across hedge fund and crypto-native environments. Matthew holds two USPTO patents and an LLB from the University of Kent.

Viren brings over 30 years of business development and fundraising expertise across sectors including technology and commodity industries, spanning the OECD, India, and Africa. He has held leadership roles in large Bauxite and Gold mining companies, and co-founded initiatives including the Africa DigiTech Alliance and Africa Digital Exchange, which enhance technology solutions and funding across Africa.
